September 2015 means fairs, fund raising and festivals in Jersey! Walking, air displays and music festivals start the month and a festival of words ends it. There’s plenty to entertain sporting enthusiasts as well whether it be mountain biking, hiking, moto x or sailing. Enjoy a busy September in Jersey!

Flagship sailing event organised by 3 of Jersey’s yacht clubs.

Jersey Live Festival

5th – 6th September

The largest live music festival in the Channel Islands with top acts. 11am – 11pm each day.

Jersey Farm & Craft Market

5th September

Local producers and craft workers sale at St Brelade Parish Hall, St Aubin, 9am – 2pm.

Grouville Church Country Fair

5th September

All the fun of a traditional church fair. 11am – 5pm at Les Pres Manor, La Cache des Pres. Free entry and free parking.

Heavy Machine-Gun Turret Bunker

5th September

CIOS Jersey opening of a former WWII at Val de Mer. 6.30am – 4.30pm. Free entry.

Underground Command Bunker & Coastal Artillery Observation Tower open

6th September

Former WWII bunker open by CIOS Jersey at Noirmont Point. 11am – 4.30pm. Entry £3.

Free concert to commemorate the Battle of Britain. Howard Davies Park 7.45 – 8.45pm.

International Air Display

10th September

Annual air display over St Aubin’s Harbour from approximately 12pm until 5pm.

Autumn Walking Festival

12th – 27th September

Annual walking festival with guided and themed walks all around the island.

Steam Threshing & Motor Fair

12th September

Pallot Motor Museum’s annual fair, 10am – 5pm. Adults £6 and children £2.

Spice Art & Music Festival

12th – 13th September

Local producers, crafts people and therapists set up yurts on Grouville Common for a festival of art and music. 10am – 7pm on 12th and 10am – 6pm on 13th. Free entry.

Inter Insular Downhill Mountain Bike Race

12th & 13th September

Mountain biking team event – available to anyone to enter. 9am – 2pm each day.

12th September

Tour historic St Ouen’s Manor 10.30am – 12.30pm. Adults £12.

The Great North Coast Charity Challenge

13th September

Charity north coast walk which raises money for ‘Hands around the World Jersey’ supporting overseas projects. Visitors and locals can participate. Email mikehaden2@hotmail.com for more details.

Moto X ar Sorel Point

13th September

Competitive moto x event from 10am – 5pm. Spectators welcome.

JCR Annual Cycle Ride 2015

13th September

Round the island or track based cycle route raising money for Jersey Cancer Relief with children’s face painting and activities. 8.30am for cycle race, 10am for children’s event.

Jersey Architecture Biennale (JAB15)

14th – 18th September

A week dedicated to architecture with awards, talks, tours and a gala dinner. All events, apart from the gala dinner, are free.

Summer Beer Festival

17th – 19th September

CAMRA festival in St Helier introducing new varieties and chances to sample some favourites.

Markets

  • Jersey Farm & Craft Market takes place in Royal Square, St Helier from 10am until 5pm. 5th September.
  • St Catherine’s Farm and Craft Markets take place on Sundays from 10am until 4.30pm outside Jersey Turbot in St Catherine’s. 6th, 13th, 20th & 27th September
  • Vintage Fair in St Brelade Parish Hall, St Aubin takes place from 9am until 5pm on 26th September.
