September 2015 in Guernsey has some big festivals – the Autumn Walking Festival, followed by the air display and then onto the Guernsey Literary Festival and the first ever Guernsey International Food Festival.

Guernsey Literary Festival

16th – 20th September

Family festival centred around St Peter Port. Rage of activities and well known guest authors and illustrators including Will Self.

18th – 27th September 2015

The first Guernsey International Food Festival taking place island wide. Food events, master classes, markets, themed evenings, suppers and guest appearances from famous chefs including Jean-Christophe Novelli. See our dedicated page for more details.

Guernsey Markets for September:
  • 5th & 19th September – Castel Parish Farmers Market opens at 9am, Le Friquet Garden Centre, Castel.
  • 5th, 12th, 19th, & 26th September – The Farmers and Fisherman’s Market offers Fresh local produce including locally caught seafood. Open from 9am, Sausmarez Manor from April.
  • 4th, 11thm 18th & 25th September – Fresh Fridays Produce Market in Market Square, St Peter Port, opens from 8.30am until 2.30pm every Friday. Guernsey local produce is for sale including fresh fish, meat, vegetables, chutney, pâté, deli and cakes.
  • 9th, 16th, 23rd & 30th September – St Peter’s Community Market offers a selection of plants, pies, homemade jams and fresh produce every Wednesday 10-11am in the Community Hut, behind St. Peter’s Post Office.
