July 2015 in Jersey

One of Jersey’s big sporting events, the Jersey NatWest Island Games, is in full swing at the start of the month and sport continues to be a theme throughout July. Motor Sprints, sand racing and an inter island yachting event all take place as well as plenty of live music and entertainment.

Nat West Jersey Island Games

Watch as competitors take part in a variety of island wide sporting events.

Sand Racing at Millbrook

4th July

Motor sand racing from 2pm.

The Big Gig in the Park

4th – 5th July

Live music event in Howard Davies Park with Spandau Ballet headlining, The Feeling as support and a host of other top acts.

Jersey Open Gardens

5th July

Raising money for the JAYF charity, each open garden costs £3 to enter. Visit Villas Devereux, La Route Orange in St Brelade from 2 – 5pm.

Tour des Ports de la Manche

7th – 8th July

Yacht race between France and the islands departing from St Aubin’s harbour on 8th July.

Polish Festival

11th – 12th July

The sights, sounds and tastes of Poland in Weighbridge Place, St Helier 12pm – 11pm.

Bouley Bay Hill Climb

16th July

Hill climb racing from 10am – 5.30pm. Cost: £4 for adults.

Fete de St Helier

18th – 19th July

Summer Fair and celebrations in St Helier, 10am – 8pm.

Jersey Derby

26th July

Horse racing at Les Landes Racecourse, 2.30 – 6pm.

Open bunkers and WWII defences

CIOS Jersey will be opening some of the WWII defences on the island during the summer. For details take a look at CIOS Jersey or contact


  • Jersey Farm & Craft Market takes place in Royal Square, St Helier from 10am until 5pm. July’s dates are: Saturday 11th & 25th and for August: 8th, 22nd & 29th.
  • St Catherine’s Farm and Craft Markets take place on Sundays from 10am until 4.30pm outside Jersey Turbot in St Catherine’s.
  • Vintage Fair in St Brelade Parish Hall, St Aubin takes place from 9am until 5pm on 25th July and 29th August.
