Channel Islands Heritage Festival Guide

3rd April – 11th May

From Roman coin hoards to evacuation and occupation, the Channel Islands have it all! The islands are getting ready to open their doors in order to explore all aspects of their vast heritage. From ancient fairy rings to discovering if there’s dragons at Mont Orguiel Castle, there’s something for everyone. As the festival takes place during Easter there’s some Easter egg fun in St Peter’s Valley with The National Trust for Jersey as well as a talk about the imperial Fabergé eggs and a ride onboard Alderney’s steam train with the Easter bunny. The islands are small enough to enjoy exploring on foot and knowledgeable guides have prepared a selection of informative walks exploring a range of topics with historical themes. Special celebrations will take place on 9th May for Liberation Day in Jersey and Guernsey and then on 10th
May in Sark. Take a look at some of the highlights in our Channel Islands Heritage
