Take a look at our calendar of Autumn and Winter events in Guernsey and make the most of a break in Guernsey. Tennerfest is a great time to visit as it offers the chance to sample great menus at fantastic prices all around the island, followed by the arrival of the Christmas season and a full programme of seasonal events which are sure to get you in the festive spirit.
Tennerfest
1st October until 10th November

NCCPG Nerine Festival
11th – 25th October
Guernsey is famous for its Nerines (Lilies) with a dedicated exhibition in Candie Gardens showcasing the best this year. Free entry. 10am – 4pm, St Peter Port.
Christmas Lights Switch On
29 November
Father Christmas arrives at 4pm near to the Model Yacht Pond in St Peter Port and makes his way to Church Square by 4.45pm ready to switch on the Christmas lights.
Late Night Shopping in St Peter Port
4th, 11th, 18th December
Late night opening for shops until 9pm with plenty of food and entertainment around the streets of St Peter Port.
Christmas light switch on at The Bridge in St Sampsons
5th December
Join Father Christmas from 4.30 until 5pm and watch him switch on the lights.
Normandie Market
6th – 7th December
French produce market with a seasonal feel at North Beach, St Peter Port.
Throughout the season:
Fresh produce markets: Weekly markets and food events showcasing the best local produce with specialities such as Guernsey Gâche and fresh seafood on offer:
- Castel Parish Farmers Market opens at 9am every other Saturday throughout the year in Le Friquet Garden Centre, Castel.
- The Farmers and Fisherman’s Market offers Fresh local produce including locally caught seafood. Open every Saturday from 9am, during the winter months the market operates from St Martin’s Parish Hall and moves to Sausmarez Manor from April.
- Fresh Fridays Produce Market in Market Square, St Peter Port, opens from 8.30am until 2.30pm every Friday. Guernsey local produce is for sale including fresh fish, meat, vegetables, chutney, pate, deli and cakes.
- St Peter’s Community Market offers a selection of plants, pies, homemade jams and fresh produce every Wednesday 10-11am in the Community Hut, behind St. Peter’s Post Office.
