Jersey Festival of Cycling

13 – 15 June 2014Cyclists on the Tour de Bretagne 2010, Gorey, St Martin, Jersey

Come and watch the Pearl Izumi Tour Series

The summer season of cycle races is well under way with most of us riding our favourite races whether it is time trials, road races, sportives or hill climbs. The Jersey Festival of Cycling promises a unique weekend of cycling from 13 June with something for everyone, even if you are just watching the thrilling races and cheering on the riders.

Both amateur and professional cyclists will be competing in hill climbs, criteriums, 50 and 10km sportives, road races, an urban downhill and include the Pearl Izumi Tour Series final. Visiting Jersey for the first time, this official sportive of the Tour of Britain gives everyone the chance to experience the elite riders, commentary and a podium presentation with a special guest to present the medals.

There will be a Cycle village set up at Gorey harbour with shops, bars, Jersey food and entertainment keeping the whole weekend buzzing with excitement.

The Finale

The finale will be the King of the Castle Urban downhill race starting at the top of the stunning Mont Orgueil castle in Gorey. Not for the faint hearted but it will create an amazing and exciting spectacle and finish in front of the crowds at the cycle village.
