Self Guided Walks in Guernsey
Walk in the Footsteps of History
To help visitors find out more about the island’s fascinating history, Visit Guernsey has launched four self-guided trails as part of the History Lives Here campaign. Each trail explores different areas of the island and takes in as much of Guernsey’s stunning natural beauty as possible.
The walks are scattered with fascinating snapshots of history, from Martello towers and Neolithic tombs to Forts and reminders of more recent history including the German Occupation.
These walks are suitable for walkers of all abilities. Visitors can choose a leisurely amble around the flats of the north or chose a more challenging hike around the south coast. Each route is carefully mapped to offer stop off points along the way so that you can make the most of your time in Guernsey.
